History
The FSU Fishing Club was founded in 2003 by a visionary group of Florida State students who shared a passion for recreational angling. Their primary objectives were to meet other people with common interests and to spread and acquire knowledge of the Big Bend's fisheries, while promoting environmental consciousness.
The idea was well-received, and since registering as a non-profit organization in 2004 the FSU Fishing Club has grown exponentially. At last count, we had over 70 members from different backgrounds and various areas of the country. We host two saltwater fishing tournaments each year, tailgate parties at all Seminole home football games, a chartered fishing trip each spring, and a camping trip each semester.
Our club operates on member dues and sales of club t-shirts, coozies, stickers, visors, and cookbooks. If you are interested in getting some gear from the FSU Fishing Club please contact us. You'll be able to rest easy knowing that your purchase helps us spread the fishing addiction without, of course, interfering with our studies.
Feel free to drop us a line at fsufishing@gmail.com with any question, comments, or suggestions.
